This portable AC has been a lifesaver during a stretch of humid weather. I am using it in a medium sized bedroom and it cools the space down much faster than I expected for an 8000 BTU unit. Within maybe 15 to 20 minutes the room already feels noticeably more comfortable, and once it gets going it keeps the temperature pretty steady without constantly blasting at full power. Setup was fairly straightforward and the window kit fit better than I thought it would. It is not silent, but the noise level is about what I expect from a portable air conditioner and it fades into the background pretty quickly. I also like having the fan and dehumidifier modes built in since they actually come in handy on rainy days. The unit itself feels sturdy, rolls easily, and the remote is simple enough that I didn¡®t even need to read much of the manual. Overall it is been reliable and worth it for keeping one room comfortable without installing a full window unit.
