Cools well but don’t buy this unit if you want WiFi connectivity or Alexa control. I’ve had several brands that all use the same WiFi system in the AC unit, and they are a total pain to set up, and in some cases will never connect. They won’t connect to WiFi, and they won’t turn on their internal AP to configure the alternate way.I’ll be sending this unit back at ‘s expense since these manufacturers are still using the garbage WiFi controller knowing this has been an issue for years.

AC unit works very well cooling living room sized 11′ x 15′ that is on West side of the house. Flows into the dining room and keeps it at a comfortable temperature. Mostly use economy setting.Easy set up in window. Replacement for a 5k BTU unit, same setting and doesn’t run non-stop.

I got the 8000 BTU, only good for small room, i have it set at the lowest degrees for like 3 hours in my room and still not too cold, it is ok to survive but I think you can get something better and keep in mind I live in a basement that isn’t even that hot as other places, also is noisy they say is quiet, I’m gonna keep it because I don’t want to deal with return, so far it’ll keep alive but I do not recommend the one that I got, I suggest you to get a more powerful one.

Make sure the vent path is installed correctly and the room size matches the rating, because portable ACs only feel strong when the heat load is reasonable.

Product works and I haven¡¯t had any issues so far but install was a pain. The window insert doesn¡¯t allow for a recessed window sill or however you call it. I had to cut some pieces of wood and attach them to the insert and then place it in the window to get it to fit properly. Also my window is 35¡± so to get it to properly fit I had to trim the sliding part of the insert down. In addition to all of this nonsense the tape that was on the sides left colored residue and I really don¡¯t have the time or energy to try and remove it at this point. This is the 5th or 6th unit of this style that I¡¯ve installed so I¡¯m not a novice. I realize I could have just bought a different insert and used it instead of this one but I needed the unit up and running right away and didn¡¯t have time to wait for additional parts to deliver. What should have been a 30 minute max install turned into 2 hours having to fabricate this and that. Will not buy this brand again.

We purchased this A/C in May of 2023.First of all, it’s much more lightweight than many 10,000-BTU units and smaller. It does an excellent job cooling as well; it works. On a day here in NYC that’s cooler but humid, the “Dry” setting provides coolth with less expense.Now, this is year 2. Fact is, this has been a very hot summer here. And while some other regions have had it much hotter, it’s been hot enough in NYC for us to keep the A/C running on “Cool” continually day and night without being able to shut it off. Acekool is not as known a brand as the big ones, and I’ve been clenching my teeth, hoping it wouldn’t die from mechanical exhaustion during those 100-degree heat index days. God forbid and all. It didn’t. It’s been terrific.So far, so excellent. Price is reasonable too, and you don’t have to dismantle the whole thing to install it in the window and go through all sorts of changes, either.Yes, I recommend.
