Won’t run for more than five minutes before shutting down. Have to run on fan mode for an hour then can switch back to cool mode. If returning it wasn’t a pain I would send it back. Guess I’ll just eat the money and chalk it up to a bad choice. Don’t buy this.

Absolutely horrible. Heating stopped working shortly after using it . Arrived cracked but didn’t want to go thru dealing with returning the massive piece so dealt with it. Regretting not just returning it now after the heat stopped working. Would give zero stars if I could.

I had high hopes for this unit, but it fell well short of the mark.The installation was a joke. The filler panel included with the unit lacked enough space to offset the exhaust hose from the window or windows casing. And the plastic tab that was included to hold the filler panel in place, keeping it from sliding closed, was useless. In order to even use mount the filler panel, it required weather stripping on the top and bottom to even seal and 2-3D printed shims to hold it in place against the windows frame. The best part of this installation is that it did ‘fit’ a slider window, so it could be used in both a slider or double-hung windows configuration.Then, the unit was noisy. If used in a bedroom, expect a loud droning sound when the unit is running. I included charts to show audio levels for ambient, low and high fan levels. When running, its louder than a personal laser printer. Hardly soothing or calming to sleep with.And if that wasn’t enough, it actually INCREASE the humidity within the room. In fairness, it did cool as expected, but the humidity significantly increased, thereby negating the cooler temperatures. I did place it on a stand and used the rear drain to capture some condensation, but it only slightly reduces the humidity within the room as it remained higher than expected. I have also included a chart showing temperature and humidity during its run time.Finally, as others have mentioned, it does not drain easily or contain a self-capture drain pan. It requires elevation of the unit and a self-supplied drain pan or bucket to use the drain feature, although its suppose to be ‘drainage free’.

Works very well for cooling the main part of our house. Definitely needs better packaging. beat the crap out of it. Couple items missing from the boxes, but able to work around them.Still pleased with purchase.

While this cools just fine, I am having an issue with the remote. I click on the down button for temp drop and it also changes the fan speed to low. IN FACT ..up or down…on the button changes the fan speed to low. Also the remote does not light up to see in the dark. I sent an email to manufacture and they have not responded. Also the fan turns off completely once it has cooled down the room. Kinda cool the vent/window opens and closes on it when you turn it on or turn it off. It’s a little bigger than my 10,000 BTU unit. Set this on 61…my room is 71….the compressor cuts off after only a few seconds. Cycles on and off constantly and very loud when it does. will not cool bdrm down doing this. WARNING these sellers are not putting the brand names on them in the pictures. Its a big ole “G” on the front. UPDATE: Sent a second email to and they have not replied at all. SO customer service is non existent. RUN, dont walk away from this. Remote still sucks. Horrible noisy unit. Only thing it does is cool the room with door shut and not over 100 outside.
