$300 down the trash because this unit is exactly that, garbage. It was stored away in rv for a few months and when I went to go use it and it will work for a few minutes and then start blowing out hot air. Now it’s out of the return window and I’m stuck with a very expensive piece of trash. Do not buy!

I assembled and examined the item before turning it on. a few days later found a huge puddle on the floor affecting the sofa with water damage. I then drained the unit, but there was only a little water in it. Then put the plug back in, then turned it on, then it said that the tub was full of water and needed to be drained and wouldn’t work. I must have turned it off and on 10 times. before tilting it a little, then the AC would against start working. but it wouldn’t stay on for long..it would say that the fluids need to be drained, even after a few seconds. Awful Awful unit..(Written after packing the unit back into the box)>>>>>Come to think of it. When I first received it, the box was severely damaged but the unit seemed ok. But after using it, and leaking everywhere, I remembered that the package was damaged with holes everywhere. While packing backup into the box, I noticed that the back plastic panel was broken and I didn’t do that, nor did I notice it in the beginning. Now that I think of it, I believe that it is possible that something was broken inside the unit due to the shipping. Unfortunately now I have water damaged floors and furniture.

Works great for the price! I have 650 sq ft and a south west apartment in a quadruplex. It gets HOTTTTT. This dude cools down two of the three rooms at a time and a quickly. Very impressed. It did not come with any weather stripping for the window part which was uncool but I made it work Also even at its smallest the window part was too big and I ended up breaking it bc I didn’t know how to cut it. So it has a weird jagged edge. It relatively small but the tube makes it tale up space. The tube is always hot. I wrapped my mine in foil. It’s loud but that’s ok. I lost the remote control or didn’t get one I’m not sure lol.

Our AC died and while we save up for a replacement HVAC system, this has been a lifesaver! Just have to clean the filters every week or so. They’re washable, so no big deal. The only complaint I have is that the tubing doesn’t really fit well in our window for the exhaust. There’s a little gap underneath. Fortunately, there’s a screen in the window so that the bugs don’t come in through there. We have windows that go up & down. They give some double-sided tape that could be used to tape up the gap but it’s very difficult to get to because of a ginormous heavy sofa, etc. in the way. It’s on wheels so that it’s easy to move it.It’s totally on me — I probably should have gotten a window AC; it probably would have been easier for us to fit in our space.But, so far, this unit has been working for the past couple of months. You set the temp and amount of airflow you want. You can do a timer. There’s a remote but I haven’t used it.

loud ….. really really loud was much harder to attach the hose then my that was 499 easy to attach and quiet i figured i just needed a 2nd air conditioner for my house this one is super loud and doesnt seem to make the room colder i would do my research and invest in one of better quality

I recently purchased the 8000 BTUs Portable Air Conditioner for my 245 sq ft room, and overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the performance—but there were a couple of hiccups along the way.First, the original unit I received was a disappointment. It arrived damaged and was noticeably loud, which was frustrating. Thankfully, customer service handled the return quickly, and I got a replacement without too much hassle.Now, onto the second unit—which is the one I’m currently using. It’s much quieter than the first one and operates at a comfortable noise level that doesn’t disrupt my daily activities or sleep. That alone was a big improvement.As for cooling performance, it does take about an hour and a half to bring my 245 sq ft room down to a comfortable temperature. That’s a bit longer than I expected, but once it gets there, it holds the temperature well and makes the space quite livable, especially during hot days.I’d love to give this product a full 5-star rating, but because of the damaged first unit and the slower-than-expected cooling time, I’m giving it 4 stars. Still, it’s a solid portable AC and worth considering if you’re patient with the cool-down time.

So far it’s working good and no issues. I purchased this for an elderly friend, her apartment is very hot, the delivery staff was amazing they brought in the air conditioner inside her apartment, I arrived today to install it and noticed the window plate that connects to the holes is cracked, I hope the seller see this review and sends a new plate for the connection.

I bought this with no reviews posted. I purchased this because it was on the cheaper side, my air conditioner went out and I needed an extra unit for my house. This is used in my bedroom. I bought the 8000 but is. So far this has worked out well, even on low it has decent power. I use the oscillator to keep the air moving. My bedroom is average size 10 x 10, and it keeps it really cool. Ie kept it at 67 and it is done well. I use a fan in my room as well to help move cool air into my hallway, it is doing a decent job helping to cool that as well. Easy to move around, and solid setup. Not bad for the price. If things change Iâll update, but I recommend.
