For the past couple summers, we have just been struggling at night trying to sleep with just a ceiling fan on and in Southern California that’s pretty miserable. This little AC unit has seriously changed our lives. We can run it through the night and the humming noise it makes is actually pretty relaxing. Be aware that this unit is HEAVY, 60 pounds. If you’re young and strong, maybe, but in general it’s not trivial to move this unit in and out of storage.

I ordered this on May 30th. It didn’t arrive until June 5th. As of the time of posting, it is June 24th. I’ve had this portable A/C for under 3 weeks.In this three weeks, I have:1.) Discovered that the window seal that is provided was too large and needed to be trimmed down. No big deal, that was easily handled, I expected that because it’s an older house with those narrow windows that are skinnier than modern standard.2.) Discovered that the hose is ridiculously short. Short enough that you actually struggle to get it outside unless you almost turn the unit sideways. It’s supposed to be portable so you can turn it around freely. If you’re gonna make the water hose short, shorten the air hose too. It makes installation a nightmare having to deal with an air duct that’s too long and a water hose that’s too short.3.) This one is the big one. The compressor on mine has already died. The noise it’s making is sort of a whining, droning sound that you can hear over the usual fan noise when you’re standing next to it. And it’s clearly the compressor because it’s blowing warm air and the evaporator isn’t getting cold to the touch when you take off the air filters.Yeah, kinda regretting my purchase. Now I have to spend the money on another unit. Bought it because it was cheap, buying a second time because it already broke. Definitely got what I paid for…Update: replaced my unit! They reached out when they learned I had a poor experience and actually replaced my unit. This one’s the same model and everything, but it seems quieter somehow. Maybe the old one was just a dud from the factory, or they updated the design internally to make it quieter? Feels like it’s blowing colder, too.

This thing works great.Its a convenient size and the caster wheels on the bottom make moving it around easy. Installation and setup were easy and operation is a piece of cake.I am using it to cool a well insulated garage that is over 300sq ft and its performing great.The included vent tube and other accessories are all high quality. The unit itself seems to be high quality, durable and reliable.This cools well and isnt any louder than a standard fan I dont think.The oscillation feature is fantastic as well and it works great, just like everything else about this unit.I wish that the included drain hose and the power cord each were just a bit longer.Overall this is a great value and an awesome ac unit.

Pc that holds pipe to the window is cracked at the oval hole. Will have to tape it to make it work.. see pic..Wish the hose was longer n easier to work with as well.. but other than that… should do the job i got it for but getting broken pcs has been an issue lately overall. May or may not be a company issue, may be a shoppong issue

I am an extremely light sleeper and our old window unit sounded like a helicopter. This window air conditioner with quiet operation at around 50 dB is a night-and-day difference. I can barely hear it on the low settings, and the silent-wrap design really keeps the compressor hum contained. The mechanical controls mean I don¡®t have to fumble with a remote in the dark ââ?just turn the dial to the right setting and sleep. It cools my 150 sq. ft bedroom fast and keeps it comfortable till morning. A true quiet energy efficient AC unit that doesn¡®t sacrifice sleep for cool air.

I have a 18 inch wide space to install this AC. Everywhere I looked says it’s under 18 inches wide. Why when I measure it is it 18.6 inches wide. Come on. I’m making it work by getting a multi-tool and trimming the plastic edges off my window down. But really upset I have to do this.

Works very well i have about a 1000 square foot duplex and at eighty degrees outside it doesnt even struggle to keep the house comfortable on auto it turns itself on when need and shuts down when not so very efficient and most importantly nice and quiet cools off this house quickly and keeps it there

This 5000 BTU unit fits perfectly in my home office window. It keeps the room comfortable without taking up much space or blocking the view. The two-way airflow lets me direct cool air toward my desk. Simple mechanical knobs are easy to use. Happy with it.

This is a nice little air conditioning unit. My only issue is I’ve had a 8000 btu window unit installed in this particular room previously and it kept the temperature cool without having to run all the time. It does seem like these free standing units dont cool as well and with that said have to run more then older window units. Thats my only complaint though I like the design and the fact they take up less window space not such and eye sore from the outside. One downfall is you basically have to run a condensate drain unless you want to dump these things on the regular. I didnt want that hassle so I ran a condensate line. Luckily it was pretty easy where I installed but I could see this being a problem for others. Just something to keep it mind. Overall they work well and im sure are more energy efficient than older window units so hopefully the extended run time will offset this with being more efficient. Time will tell. Good product

This has been a lifesaver during the hot summer months. I use it upstairs in my sewing workroom. Low noise and the thermostat keeps the room at the desired temperature. It is a little bigger and heavier than I anticipated, but it is a great value for the money.

I know I took a chance buying something that didn’t have a single review, but I see why now.I bought this to replace an older window unit. I returned it after one day of use. The hose that discharges heat out the window, radiates more heat into the room then the unit can cool down. The room was a smaller bedroom converted to an office about 100 square feet. This unit supposed to be 8500 BTUs. My old window unit is 5,000. I try this because it said 8500 BTUs. But hard to believe as it couldn’t cool down a smallWhy did you pick this product vs others?:The price was lower than the other 8,000 BTU units. I don’t recommend this unit

It’s ok. It took forever to cool a bedroom that was 80..down to 75( 6 hours). Once it cooled it has stayed below 78 but struggles to reach 75 in a tiny bedroom. There’s no way it can cool 350 square feet!

This thing is a beast (in a great way). I ordered it some time ago, but the weather hasn’t been too hot so I never got around to setting up up…. Until today. We had a hot humid 90+ degree day and our house was getting hot. I setup this unit and was blown away that in literally about 30 seconds it was blasting cold air! It cooled my entire living room in a few minutes. I feel like the unit is pretty decent quality and it was easy to set everything up. I kind of wish it had a removable water compartment like a dehumidifier… the only way to empty it is to unscrew the hose port on the back and let it drain… so you’re going to have to get it in a safe place to drain. It is also a little loud. Definitely noticeable in a room. If you’ve ever suffered through a miserable humid night though, you’d probably agree that a little noise is worth it. If you’re looking for a great portable unit to cool your home, I would highly recommend.

I purchased this in 2024. I use it 7 or 8 times. At first it worked quite well in a large bedroom. The last time I use it it didn’t seem to be cooling as well. When I started it in 2025, there was absolutely no cooling whatsoever. I am 1 month past the warranty and reached out to the company for options on repair. It’s been a week and no response from the company. I bought this in part because it was an Choice. I would steer clear of this company.

Perfect for my 150 sq. ft garage gym! The 10000 BTU power cuts through heat during workouts, and the 3-speed fan circulates air without noise distractions (yes, even burpees!). I use the remote to switch to dehumidifier mode post-workout to prevent mildew. WiFi control lets me pre-cool the space before sessions. Installation took 20 minutesâthe brackets fit my narrow window perfectly. For the price, the energy-saving features and quiet 50dB operation are unbeatable

I set this air conditioner in my guest room waiting for my nephews. The ac is easy to set up and provides instant cool from the heat when they are staying over. Move it from room to room as needed is very simple.
