This unit cools a 150sqft bedroom decent despite 100+ degree temps out. I had the tube hooked up for continuous drainage into a 5 gallon bucket and just kept up with dumping that since running the tube outside wasn’t an option for me. But I did not realize that the continuous drainage is only for dehumidifying mode and the water tank still needs to be manually drained and is not sealed so if you have to run the unit to the bathroom to drain it unexpectedly like I did, it’ll leak on the floor on the way there lol. So I did end up returning the unit and opted for a window unit instead to avoid all that.

This is the first one I purchased. It was cooling the air properly. So I bought a second one. Then suddenly it started leaking from the tank. I was unable to find any damage to the tank. I still have no idea where the water was leaking all over my floor from. Shortly after that it had a total power malfunction and would not come back on. Chalking it up to experience and only costing $70. It barely worked for a few weeks. Now the second one has started leaking same issue and no idea where the leak is coming from.

Well it’s still too early to really put this through the paces but it cooled my stuffy office if just under 200 square feet on an 80 pus degree day with high humidity. I know, not the hottest weather but it’s early Nay. I will update if Ted AC doesn’t meet expectations become mid summer.

I live in Florida, so I’m very particular about my air conditioner. I installed this one in a small room, and I could feel the temperature drop quite quickly. While it wasn’t instantaneous, it was fast enough that I didn’t have to wait long to feel its effect. I use it during the hottest part of the day, and it keeps the room at a comfortable temperature. The remote control makes adjusting it very convenient; I can operate it without getting up, and it’s very easy to use. It does make some noise, but that’s exactly what I expected from a window air conditioner¡ªit’s quiet and not distracting, just a gentle background noise. For a small room, it’s perfectly adequate, without any problems.

I bought this Home 5000 btu window air conditioner for my small home office, and it is a lifesaver. Installation was a breeze; it is lightweight enough that I could set it up myself without help. It cools the room down in about 10 minutes and stays very quiet while running. For a mechanical control unit, it feels very sturdy and reliable. Perfect for anyone needing to chill a bedroom or small workspace! My only gripe is the unit seems to be smaller than ones of comparable BTU. While it does cool down my small home office of about 250sq-ft, it struggled to keep up in my bedroom of 450sq-ft. Just keep that in mind when ordering this air conditioner, other than that it’s a fantastic little unit!!

I’m convinced this enormous, overly cooling air conditioner was designed by someone who utterly detests the concept of “heat.” Its mission is simple: turn your living room into a refrigerator, whether you like it or not. Like a complete fool, I installed it on the horizontal window¡ªdefinitely not its intended purpose. But does that stop it? Not at all. It shrugs and continues its relentless bombardment of icy air, like it’s preserving meat. This air conditioner feels like it’s been forgotten in some apartment since 2007, running day and night. Its filter is practically worn out. Maintenance issues? No problem. It continues to run frantically, driven by resentment and unresolved problems. Performance-wise, it’s undeniably efficient. In a very short time, you’ll go from “slightly warm” to “I can see my own breath in the air.” The design philosophy of this product has absolutely nothing to do with “subtlety.” It’s solidly built, likely to outlive you, your lease, and even the entire building. The noise level is practically saying, “I’m working, so just bear with it.” Final conclusion: if you want a gentle breeze, look elsewhere. If you want the comfort of a walk-in freezer and don’t mind a bit of “personality,” this thing will definitely meet your needs. Additional note (for those lacking a sense of humor): Yes, it comes with a thermostat like a civilized appliance. You can turn it down, and it’ll work like a regular air conditioner. Or, if your air conditioning breaks down, it can easily serve as a temporary walk-in freezer while you get on with other things.

I have other air conditioners and all work perfectly. This is no exception. At 5000 BTUs, it will cool a small room in no time at all. It is lighter than many on the market, making it much easier to install. It does come with side panels and all necessary equipment. You’ll probably need a bit of tape for added security. Because it isn’t digital, the operation is simple. Perfect for folks who aren’t savvy. And also those who are, but want a machine that will last. I’ve found that with digital operation, there are more things that can go wrong. This is made to last. To extend the life, keep your filter clean. I put a cover on mine to prevent damage from the elements. Priced better than many on the market, you can’t go wrong with this air conditioner. Do recommend.

I have two other 5000 BTU air conditioners and neither is so compact as this Home A/C. I was actually able to squeeze it into a narrow window in my vintage mobile home where I never dreamt we be able to place an air conditioner. Installation was easy, the same as other air conditioners Ie installed. It seems that once youe done one, youe done them all. The air conditioner has the typical low and high A/C and low and high fan setting as well as temperature settings from 1-7. It got very cold very fast. It seems to behave exactly the same as my larger A/Cs, which is still blowing my mind. My kid thought the A/C sounded loud and asked me to turn it off when he was ready for bed. It doesn¡®t seem any louder than any other air conditioner to me, but he is sensitive to noise when be sleeps. If you like strong white noise, this will work well for you. I tried to upload a video but discovered I had only recorded a snippet, so I am including a screenshot as evidence that I actually installed and used the item before reviewing it and will try to add a video tomorrow. I highly recommend this mighty little air conditioner. I have several other items from and theye proven reliable, so I expect this to last many seasons.

A++seller, first unit came damaged bad, customer service took good care of the problem, had damaged unit picked up, and sent another unit right to me, the new unit had a little damage on the condenser fins, small amount, but the unit works well and looks good, i would have gave a 5 star if the second unit didn’t have damage from shipping, but I’m happy they treated me well, and the unit looks great and works great.

I just put it in the window I’m having a problem keeping the vent in the window vent hole it came with it falls off if you move it it falls off. It runs ok only goes to cool setting 61 not cold enough! Other than that it’s ok . I will definitely not buy this again or recommend this to friends and family sorry but you want honest reviews!!! Just my 2 cents

It seemed to work at first. Had it about 2 weeks maybe used it four times. Glad I realized the issue before it got too hot outside. The thermostat doesn’t really read the inside temperature as much it does the outside temperature. My apartment holds the heat in so I try to cool it off at night. The temperature outside was in the 50s but the temperature in my apartment was mid 70s. The air conditioner would not turn on for nothing. It was working before just fine but at night it would not turn on. As soon as the sun came out and it hit it, it finally kicked in. But it defeats the purpose if it doesn’t turn on when you want it to. I had it set all the way to the lowest setting which is 7. But it just wouldn’t engage the air conditioner compressor. The other issue is that it’s not sealed very well. A lot of debris from the trees nearby were being blown through the air vents whenever I would turn it on. Also a lot of smells and pollution would just be pouring in from the road below. I could not recommend this product at all.
