You have to read this… You’re not gonna believe it. I bought another brand because it had an ERV (kinda gives away what brand it was..) and I have to say, the is cooling a room that is 3 times the size of the better brand, and its doing it a LOT better!! Its cooling a 30′ x 40′ room. Its rated to cool a room ONE THIRD this size. Its COLDER in the 3 times larger room THAT HAS ENTIRE SECTIONS OF THE WALL WHERE THERE IS ONLY CINDER BLOCK AND NO INSULATION, and the better brand seems to be struggling to keep up. Remember the better brand is in a room 1/3rd the size, and THAT room is fully insulated with 6″ thick insulation! I keep the set a lot warmer too, and the better brand unit is set to 71 degrees. I kept my old unit (before it died) at 80 degrees, so Im not hard to please, but I swear the better unit is off temp wise. There’s NO WAY its 71 degrees in here. Meanwhile I have NEVER FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET THIS TO FARENHEIT, so its set at 26? 27? celsius, whatever the heck that is. MERICA! set our stuff to FARENHEIT!I will say the better brand unit seems to be made better, it was larger and heavier, and the line-set (copper tubes) were far thicker and larger tubes than the . ALSO the better brand is 220V, and the is 110V.EXPLAIN IT!I can’t, and I’m a contractor!I just hope it lasts. Time will tell if it endures the reliable test or not. But for right now it seems to be a well made unit. But yeah, its performing FAR better than the one that literally cost me TWICE the price!Just buy the dang thing!!Also I set this thing up really easy in a couple hours. Course, I am a contractor (plumber) so I know electrical and plumbing, and HVAC is just plumbing with a different name.At its current price (under 500) its the bargain of the decade!I was worried because its between 2 buildings with only 3 feet of clearance between the two.. Was afraid it would overheat or not get enough air, but that too seems OK.BOTH of my units are under covered areas, and both on sturdy tables tall enough to prevent snowstorms from reaching them. Protect your investment! Put a roof over that puppy! (Just leave the walls open for air)

I am going to be brutally honest. I don’t know why some people on YoutuBe and social media recommend this, but this machine is a complete waste of money. I am going to tell you the truth. A cheap window unit has all its components outside of your room, so the noise they make can’t be heard by the person inside the room. This thing makes a loud noise that if you are trying to buy this for your room…. You will regret it immediately. The hose gets hot, so while the machine is cooling the room a little bit, the hose is creating heat that makes the whole thing pointless. I don’t know why it got 5 stars. and in addition to all the bad, The hose is impossible to hide. The hose is so weak and made of plastic, you can break it by trying to move the thing around a little bit. I am not joking be ready to lose a huge space in the room where you decide to put this thing. It also messes with the lights of the room. it is a waste of time. you will have to drain it. It will turn off completely when it is full and you have to drain it. the hose is useless. It has two drain holes. the one at the bottom of the thing is almost invisible. I was trying to drain the thing from the only hole visible, but by accident I found the hole at the bottom which is the one that hold most of the water. Buy a window unit. This things can’t be move around. I bought it so I can move it around. It can’t be move. the hose is way too difficult to bend. You will thank me in the morning.

First time using it, it leaked water from the bottom and ruined my floor.Update. Replacement sent, same brand and model. The secind air conditioner leaked also. Ended up buying a leak tray for underneath it. Good luck with this model. Also was delivered dirty, Luke it has been used. Very disappointed

Purchased two of these. Both terrible for their own reasons.First one (8000 btu) couldn’t cool a 10×12 room to 71F with 84F temps outside.Purchased the 14000 btu version but it keeps tripping a standard, modern US home circuit breaker that doesn’t have anything else on the run.The noise on both of these isn’t usable in an office setting if you need to have zoom meetings. Even with them on the opposite side of the room they’re far too loud to hold a zoom conversation. I don’t understand the purpose of the night time mode when it’s barely quieter than the loud default setting.
