I am going to be brutally honest. I don’t know why some people on and social media recommend this, but this machine is a complete waste of money. I am going to tell you the truth. A cheap window unit has all its components outside of your room, so the noise they make can’t be heard by the person inside the room. This thing makes a loud noise that if you are trying to buy this for your room…. You will regret it immediately. The hose gets hot, so while the machine is cooling the room a little bit, the hose is creating heat that makes the whole thing pointless. I don’t know why it got 5 stars. and in addition to all the bad, The hose is impossible to hide. The hose is so weak and made of plastic, you can break it by trying to move the thing around a little bit. I am not joking be ready to lose a huge space in the room where you decide to put this thing. It also messes with the lights of the room. it is a waste of time. you will have to drain it. It will turn off completely when it is full and you have to drain it. the hose is useless. It has two drain holes. the one at the bottom of the thing is almost invisible. I was trying to drain the thing from the only hole visible, but by accident I found the hole at the bottom which is the one that hold most of the water. Buy a window unit. This things can’t be move around. I bought it so I can move it around. It can’t be move. the hose is way too difficult to bend. You will thank me in the morning.

Unit described as being quiet when operating, but just the opposite – when the compressor is running, it’s extremely loud. We purchased for use in a bedroom, but it’s impossible to sleep when it’s in the cooling phase. Bought a similar one from that is much quieter.

Dainslef 8000 btu. I let it sit for a week before I unpacked it from the box… Brand new out of the box first time using it on cool low it seemed to work ok sounded ok not to loud … Then 20 min later it just shut off…. I reset it turned it back on same thing happened. I waited a little while unplugged it from the wall.. plugged it back in hit the button on the plug to give it power turned it on .this time I put it on fan …just the fan.. there again 15-20 minutes later it just shut off.. so I let it sit overnight and I waited until the next day and tried it again. Same thing happened..I had no choice but to return it… There should be no reason that it just shuts off. I mean completely shuts off instantly like something tripping the power.. It saddens me that I have to return this and go through that hassle.. I really did like the swing mode it had on it..and the handles to help move it. and it’s nice to have a remote control but it would be nicer if the remote would light up.. I was going to use this in the bedroom and at night time when you want to change it you would still have to turn the light on to see the remote.. maybe something they could add for a future promotion?. Also Sending something this heavy back was nice to have do a home porch pickup..

I was skeptical of the low price but pleasantly surprised but the quality. It’s been running everyday for a couple weeks now with no problem. Cools nicely and it’s not terribly louder. Its a heavy unit, but manageable. For the price…you can’t go wrong

Worked great for the first month. But then started leaking water EVERYWHERE. Not even from the drain hole. It’s like the bottom wasn’t water sealed properly

So far, so good. I purchased this unit as a quick fix, as our central air unit went down and needs replaced. This unit has been keeping my main floor cool for the better part of a very warm summer as saved us the extreme expense of replacing our central air unit this season. We expect to be back on central air next season, but in the mean time I have zero complaints about this unit.

Short Story Long: Fix the truck or replace the central air. The truck was cheaper, but it took the money I’d saved for central air. Bought one of these to at least take the edge off summer heat. Sadly we have an open floor plan and weird size windows. That’s why a window unit won’t work. This unit does the best that it can with that. At least the living area is in the low 80’s so far.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: If I could give less than one star, I would. This product was delivered June 18th. My husband set it up Friday, June 27th. After it got here, it stayed upright in my living room until instillation. It blew cold air for about a day and a half. Then it changed. We followed the troubleshooting. We defrosted it. We unplugged it and left it over night. The next day it was still blowing hot air. Yes, blowing hot air, not even room temp air. I then contacted customer service about a replacement because I need this for a trip I am taking next week. Customer service then informs me they cannot do a replacement because they cannot contact the seller. I cannot replace the item without spending 100.00 more because I bought it on sale. There are A/C is I can buy from the seller, but not at the price. They asked if they could give me a partial refund so I could take it and get it fixedââ¬Â¦Ã¢â¬?I do not have what I need and it is because the seller is non contactable. So really, this is about the seller. Do not buy from this seller.

Ie had this unit 1 month and 2 weeks, today it started making a really terrible noise like the fan is hitting something. It is so loud I am scared to run the unit. I feel like I wasted so much money 🙁

This is a great floor AC. Wasn¡®t expecting it to cool the house so well but it actually cools more than the room than the living room. Gets pretty chill which is great. The window hook up is not the best, I couldn¡®t figure out how to get it to stay in the window. There aren¡®t any drill holes to securely attach it, so it can be pulled out or knocked in. The air flow is good, very low noise and easy to use. It is a nice change from window ACs, but still need to get used to it being out in the open of the floor. Overall, happy with my purchase.
