I got this little unit so I can cool down my bedroom at night without having to cool the whole house down. It works great and doesn¡®t take up a whole lot of room. It took less than 5 minutes to set up.

The portable air conditioner has been a great tool for our house whenever the weather is hot but not too hot to turn on the central air conditioner. We place the portable unit at the center of the house by a window and it has enough cooling power to keep us comfortable during the day. The portable unit is heavy to unpack, once unpacked is easy to move with the casters at the bottom. The portable unit comes with a remote control, vent, small hose, adapter to put the vent on a window and instruction manual. The upper panel and remote control are intuitive to use. The noise level is higher than a regular cooling fan, even at the low setting. We like the functionality of being air conditioner, fan and dehumidifier at the same time. A few pointers are that the portable unit comes with several tapes on the side, remove slowly and carefully, otherwise the printed letters will come off; also the front panel has a small grey handle that adjusts the vents. We initially thought that the handle was to open the front panel, and we had to use a screwdriver to put the front panel back in the original place.

It was a HOT summer. This air conditioner quite literally saved my life. It got warm early, and our central AC was not turned on yet. This unit was a godsend, and it worked perfectly. My fav part is that we could move it between all the rooms.

I had high hopes for this unit, but it fell well short of the mark. The installation was a joke. The filler panel included with the unit lacked enough space to offset the exhaust hose from the window or windows casing. And the plastic tab that was included to hold the filler panel in place, keeping it from sliding closed, was useless. In order to even use mount the filler panel, it required weather stripping on the top and bottom to even seal and 2-3D printed shims to hold it in place against the windows frame. The best part of this installation is that it did ââ¬Ëfitââ?a slider window, so it could be used in both a slider or double-hung windows configuration. Then, the unit was noisy. If used in a bedroom, expect a loud droning sound when the unit is running. I included charts to show audio levels for ambient, low and high fan levels. When running, its louder than a personal laser printer. Hardly soothing or calming to sleep with. And if that wasn¡®t enough, it actually INCREASE the humidity within the room. In fairness, it did cool as expected, but the humidity significantly increased, thereby negating the cooler temperatures. I did place it on a stand and used the rear drain to capture some condensation, but it only slightly reduces the humidity within the room as it remained higher than expected. I have also included a chart showing temperature and humidity during its run time. Finally, as others have mentioned, it does not drain easily or contain a self-capture drain pan. It requires elevation of the unit and a self-supplied drain pan or bucket to use the drain feature, although its suppose to be ââ¬Ëdrainage freeââ?

I ordered this for a temp, and this unit was a lifesaver. I purchased it as a temporary measure for the nursery while I wait for my central air conditioning system to be repaired, and I must say that I am not displeased. The performance has been excellent. The unit easily keeps the room comfortably cool, transforming the small space into a peaceful environment for the baby, due to the low noise levels. The setup was very simple, as the unit came with everything needed to install, plug in, and turn on right out of the box. While the system can drop the room temperature as low as 61 degrees, I’ve found that keeping it at a comfortable 70 degrees is perfect. Crucially, for a sleeping child, the noise level is acceptable and it’s a manageable white noise hum rather than a disruptive roar.

Mind you that is the 8,000 BTU but they have better options. I just need this fir a little shed that I use to do my painting and works great for that space. The product description recommends up to 175 Sq Ft so if I need to cool a larger space will definitely need a larger BTU. Perry easy ser up and noise level is fine. I would say need a bit better window cover kit, but I plan to upgrade on my own. The remote option is perfect to control the level or settings.

I was heating to death in my closed in office as the A/C went out in May and June was getting really, really hot before my the company had the parts. I have a window, but it doesn’t open. I needed a portable option that didn’t require an open window to drain and vent. I was able vent this through the ceiling tiles and could drain it into a bucket if needed. I didn’t need to worry about that, as it didn’t need draining for the three weeks I used it at work. It arrived and I did let it settle for the day even though I was tempted to put it to work right away. Air compressors need to rest before you put them to work. It was easy to set up and not too bad to lift. It was very, very easy to understand how to operate and came with a remote for changing things up from across the room. I did wash and dry the filters while it was resting and didn’t make the mistake of pulling on the tab on the front as that directs the vents, so don’t yank on that, it doesn’t open anything. It came with a vent hose and drain hose. I did elevate mine on a table to make it easier to drain if needed, but this system is self evaporating unless it is dehydrating the room. When it is in dehydration mode, it pulls moisture out, so it will need somewhere to go. Elevating it makes it easier to drain into a bucket. This way I don’t slosh water about trying to get it where it can drain if I needed to last minute. Make this potential issue easy and elevate it on something strong and level incase this is needed. Cold air is heavy and drops, so elevating it will help the air cover the whole room instead of staying on the floor. There are some basic thing like that which will make using one of these easy. The air at work has since started working, so it is now in my home and helped things out during the two heat waves we’ve had in the deep south, as if our weather could get hotter, but it did. This helped to boost our system in our hottest room along with the use of ceiling fans. I have found this unit to be a valuable add on to my office and home. When the heat waves were over, we let it dry out and wrapped it with an old bed sheet to keep any dust out and stored it in our box room. This is a great boost when you needed. Your A/C only dies when you need it the most. Having a back plan is very important. This little guy could keep you cool in at least one room while your A/C is fixed. Given how much it has helped us this summer, it has paid for itself. This is just a smart buy, but a valuable investment to my home.

cooling ability—0 functionality—0 overall, the AC is a hassle. It randomly stops working (i made sure it’s not on the timer) and starts to work randomly. the constant draining you have to do because the water tank gets full really quick. It doesn’t really cool down the room AT ALL.

Covered in ugly warning stickers that are hard to get off. Flexibility of hose and connections don’t give you a lot of options on where to place it near a window considering the cold air comes out the front of it.

Cooling performance was decent, but the noise level was higher than expected. The water tank seems tiny – it needed draining every 6 to 8 hours and only held a small amount each time. Rolling it from room to room was awkward, and the remote that arrived was not the model shown in the listing. Ended up sending it back.
