Some reviews said it was loud, I do not find that to be accurate. I placed this unit in my bedroom here in 118 degree Phoenix heat and I actually have to set the timer to shut it down because I get cold. Great purchase for the price and function

I got the 8,000 BTU variant, in white. This is a basic portable air conditioner, with a classic compressor. It uses a single outlet hose and is pretty inefficient, scoring a 6 on efficiency rating. This unit is nice looking and very refined, it is quite powerful too. The inverter in it is a good one, it is on the quieter side. In my video you can hear it running with the inverter on, it’s blowing cold air out.The above is all as expected, the affordable price point makes this a solid value. If you spend twice as much you can find much more efficient and quieter (inverter) AC’S. The window kit needed to be modified, in order to fit in my 29 inch wide window. The kit could use an additional, smaller piece. I sawed off about 10 inches from it, so it would fit properly in my window.Set up was quick and easy, aside from having to modify it. The remote works well, it can be aimed in any direction.

In Florida, having good AC and fans is nearly mandatory. I originally bought this for my bedroom but ended up using it in my living room, and it’s been very effective. It definitely helps cool the room and works well overall. I was worried it might add too much moisture to the air, but that hasn’t been an issue at all—it actually feels comfortable and cooling.It comes with ice containers to help bring the temperature down, and they truly make a noticeable difference. One of the five ice containers did leak when not kept upright, but only one had that issue. The water reservoir holds a good amount and does not leak. The minimum fill is about 40 oz (roughly one Stanley cup). With the ice blocks in, the air feels much closer to actual air conditioner air.The unit does not really oscillate and stays stationary, which is something to be aware of. That said, its smaller size and shorter height actually help with portability. It’s not overly heavy or bulky and fits easily on tables or counters. I placed it on a side table, and it’s the perfect height for cooling us while sitting on the couch.My living room is connected to the kitchen and gets especially hot when the oven is on. This unit definitely helps cool the space and reduces how often we need to run the main AC to stay comfortable.One note: the plastic air louvers (louver fins) on the front are bent slightly under the first set. This does not affect airflow or performance, but it does look a bit off. I was hesitant to try bending them back into place because they flex back and forth and I didn’t want to risk snapping them. It’s a minor, mostly cosmetic issue.Overall, this has been a helpful and effective cooling option, especially for reducing AC usage in warmer rooms.
