The air conditioner is extremely loud when operating, and switching to sleep mode doesn’t make any differenceâit stays noisy. Compared to the unit I’m currently using, it’s at least twice as loud.

The unit freezes over constantly and the fan power is insufficient to push the semi-cool air that does come out. You will enjoy about 5 minutes of decently chilled air, then after that is basically an over priced fan with limited reach.

I purchased this to put in a 160 square foot room. Description says it is 14,000 btu and cools upto 750 sq ft. That is not the case. When it came in the box and paperwork says 9,200 btu. That is not the case either. In a 160 sq ft room it makes a difference of 2 degrees. I am familiar with these portable air conditioners and have another one (rated at the same size this one was supposed to be) that cools great. Save your money. Do not waste it on this.

I was nervous about setting it up, so we did it at home and then brought it to the cabin where we would be using it. We don’t have any sash windows so we used a sliding door just for testing. Luckily the instructions were very easy to follow and once we had it assembled, it was easy to figure out with power and it ran great! It’s a little noisy, but not more than expected, and it blows cool. Overall, it looks like it works great! I love the size, it looks really cool, I’m so happy!
