This 8000 BTU unit cools my 300 sq ft bedroom quickly. Set it to 68°F and the room feels comfortable within 15 minutes. The four modes all work: cool, fan, dehumidifier, and sleep.

Item is far too loud, does not meet the decibel claim stated in the item description. Runs at about 60 dB on low setting. Also struggles to cool a 128 ft. room with proper exhaust ventilation. Item is easy, set up, and easy use, would not recommend for quiet office spaces.

I live in an apartment directly above the laundry room and it can be 80 degrees in here with windows open and fans going. I have the unit set at 73 and it is keeping the temp down. It is running constantly. My window is too big for the size of the louver, so there is a gap at the top. I don¡®t think it is too noisy, but it makes noise for sure. Good value for the money.

I love this thing for my apartment bedroom. I bought this because I was sick and tired of lugging that huge window AC, installing it, and, of course, since it’s an extra-wide window, I also had to purchase insulation every year. Pros: Easy setup. Easy maintenance. I have a decent-sized bedroom for an apartment, but I’m cold all night. Cons: It can generate water, especially if it’s humid. I chose the constant drainage method. It works for me. I let the hose drain into one of those orange buckets. Knock on wood, I’ve never had a problem with that method.

Horrible experience. In Florida, I bought this unit to replace an older AC that was having a hard time keeping up. Imagine my shock and horror when I open my front door and get hit in the face by air hotter than outside. This AC was in use less than a week! My dogs were in this now oven like setting and my 13 year old dog was unable to lift his head let alone escape out the door. The AC didn¡®t trip a breaker, it was blowing hot air! I had to rush to save my dog. This was a horrifying ordeal I wouldn¡®t wish on anyone. I hauled it out as soon as my dog was cooled down and stabilized. Plugged in my old AC and what ya knowââ?cool air from it. I wouldn¡®t trust this unit as a boat anchor.

If you have a small house or cooling a large room this AC is awesome. My house is 850sf this AC cools the kitchen and living room and keeps it 15° cooler than the outside temperature. Back when it was 95° outside with kids running in and out the inside temp was 80°-82°. If the door isn’t constantly opening and closing it keeps it about 20° cooler than the outside temp

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Unit seems to work very well, although the remote control did not work. I notified customer service with no response so that’s a little disappointing but otherwise the unit is compact rolls around nicely and seems to cool pretty well. Would love to hear back from customer service and receive a new remote control.

I’m not happy. Hoping it’ll work out but for now, extremely disappointed. I bought this ac about 1 month before I needed it as the weather wasn’t too bad at the time. Once I used it, it did what it was supposed to but only for 1 night. Now I’m getting an error message of “LC”. The manual doesn’t say anything about “LC”. I went online for help and nothing clear. “LC” isn’t even a code I could find. I tried emptying it but it won’t empty at all. I don’t know if it’s because there isn’t enough water to empty but that’s not how water works. If there was any water, when I remove the plug, it should flow out. I sent an email to manufacturer support for help. We’ll see. This “LC” error prevents me from doing anything to the controls. I can’t even turn it off. I have to unplug it. Even the remote control won’t change anything. It seems to be stuck in fan mode. Which, granted, is currently cooling my room, but that’s not why I bought it.

This air conditioner would work well for a single room however, I live in a 3 room apartment and it struggles to cool it down to a temperature I would like. For the price, it works just about as well as well as a window unit might. My only complaint is that the unit overheats about every 10 minutes and diverts the cooling to the compressor and out the exhaust tube. It is annoying to hear the compressor shut off in and kick back on again once it has cooled down. (It did it in the time it took me to write this) There is also a warning in the manual: ââ?If the air conditioner has been tilted on its side, wait, 24 hours before turning on the air conditioner to allow the oil to return to the compressor, this will prevent the air conditioner from failing prematurelyââ?I had to tilt the box at an angle to fit into my car for a drive back to my apartment and turned it on after about an hour. I am not sure if this is why the unit only cools for about 10 minutes at a time. Overall, if I were to purchase a portable air conditioner again, I would choose a different unit. Something in the 200-300 dollar range would be more affective for my apartment and hopefully cool the room seamlessly until the temperature is reached. I would not recommend this product.

Really sturdy little unit. Fits perfectly in the corner of my home office and keeps the room comfortable all day. It is not silent – no AC really is – but the noise is easy to tune out and much quieter than the old window unit I replaced.

My unit works fine but please pay attention to how it is delivered there are arrows on the box pointing up it should be shipped in that position, when I got home mine was on my porch standing upside down so you need to pay attention on how yours is shipped because most shipping personnel don’t pay attention. If your unit arrived upside down stand it up normal let it sit for 1 to 2 hours for the oil to drain down in the compressor if you do not and you turn it on right away it will burn up the compressor and become useless hopefully some people will pay attention to this otherwise the unit works very well very nice product for the price

We bought this portable AC because we live in a house that was built in 1912 . We do not have Central AC and our rooms get very hot in the summer. This portable AC was very easy to install, it is build well, good quality, efficient and the noise level is acceptable. I like that it puts itself on pause when it reaches the set temperature. The cold air it puts out is great for a small to medium size room. It also comes with a little remote that makes it even easier to set the temperature that you are most comfortable with.
