I bought two of these and they seemed decent at first. I have one in two different rooms of my house. One of them started flashing “F1” and directions stated it was full of water and needed to be emptied. I empty it and an hour later is full and blinks again. It tells you not to run the unit without the water plug in. So, I can’t leave on for longer than an hour. It cooled great for a couple months, now is essentially useless. I do not recommend buying this product. It is overpriced for one summer use. I hardly turn AC on and but malfunctions every single time i turn it on. The design concept is great as it allows the only window in my bedroom to have give cats room to look out of the window but clearly all the bugs have not been worked out. Very disappointing.

Received a day later than initially told I would. Packaged great. Love size and how easily it moves around. Did struggle with attaching each end of the hose thru threads in end pieces. They kept falling out. Also once I slid the slat to my window length the screw holes didn’t line up properly to anywhere securely so had to use duct tape to hole slider in place & on end of the hose that attached to piece that blows out the window. Otherwise. Cools great! Looks easy to drain if needed. Plenty of option buttons available for various settings plus remote and quiet sounding. Like how it also reads what temp the room is at when it’s turned on. 👍🏼 worth the cost I feel.

I bought this to replace an aging 12,000BTU portable A/C unit for my attic master bedroom. The house is from the 1800’s and the entire attic was converted into a master bedroom. The space is about 450-500 sqft but due to the age of the house the insulation isn’t great. The room gets very hot in the summer, that’s why I decided to upgrade from a 12,000BTU unit to this 14,000BTU unit. Unfortunately it wasn’t much of an upgrade and the cooling power is actually less than the 15+ year old unit it replaced.As for looks, this A/C unit is sleek and looks great. The digital readout and buttons are intuitive and easy to navigate. Setting up the unit was super easy and the included remote control works as expected. The noise isn’t bad either, it’s significantly quieter than the old unit.Unfortunately that’s where the pros end. We’re in the midst of a heat wave in the northeast US and temps in the bedroom go over 90 degrees with no treatment. I tuned on the unit and it immediately started blowing cool air but after about three hours I barely noticed a difference in temperature in the room and the display on the unit itself was still showing the ambient room temperature at 87 degrees. That’s three hours of this A/C unit on it’s highest settings and set to 61 degrees, the lowest temp I can set the unit to. For context, my little 5000BTU window unit in another bedroom has the room down in the low 70’s after running for about an hour and the downstairs 12,000BTU unit cools the entire first floor in about an hour. So this unit just cannot cool down the area as needed.For the $350 price tag I didn’t expect the greatest A/C unit in the world but I expected it to cool the room much better than it does. needs to increase the blower power to compete with other brands.

I wish that the fact that the drain hole was at the bottom and the difficulty of actually draining that thing with the hose was maybe talked about in the description or something and that it had to be connected to a window with the big long tube I wish that that was also in the description because I might have made a different decision when I purchased these air conditioners. I have since found a way to make it work but it requires elevating the air conditioner so that it can drain properly and negating the whole use of the wheels I wish that it had a drain basin that held enough liquid you know a couple of gallons and was changeable or emptiable you know that you could remove the drawer and water out rather than having to use the drain hose. But I guess that’s the difference between the lesser expensive and the more expensive air conditioners still investigating..

This is the cheapest A/C i could find and it is pretty much as expected. Fair performance, probably about just as loud as comparable units. I like that it comes with a remote. (But with no batteries so remember to get some AAAs if u need them. Also no weather stripping) the window panel sucks though and the vent doesnt lock into place well at all. Also idk why the water tank drain is on the very bottom, you have to literally lift the whole heavy unit up to drain it

This portable AC unit appears to work well. It is straightforward on how to attach it to your window to vent. We learned we need to make sure the room size is adequate for it. If your room is too small, the AC will do a short cycle. That means itâll turn on and off too quickly. A proper sized room itâll run fine. I recommend this if you need any areas of your home to get cooled better than what your existing system can do. It works well for us.

DO NOT BUY! The drainage pan is on the bottom, the hose it comes with makes it impossible to drain without lifting the entire AC unit at least a foot off the ground. So I had to put it on top of a bucket and set another bucket beside it for water to drain. Its constantly overflowing. I have to dump the water twice a freaking day and its flooded my floors. I live in south texas, I NEED AC. The other problem came when after one month of use the buttons stopped working, shortly after the whole screen went out. So I have the unit sitting on a bucket, having to drain all the time, now I cant change the settings. Finally it just stopped working all the way. It blows cold air for about 20 minutes and then just blows a fan with air thats the same temp as the room for 20 min. Back and forth. So its only cooling 50% of the time, but its always on. I bought this in like April or may… its September. I cant unplug it or troubleshoot because 50% working is ALOT better than nothing here in texas and im too scared if I unplug it it’ll never come back on. I will be trying it as soon as it cools down, but all in all.. this thing SUCKS. It looks so Tacky having to put it on a bucket and have ANOTHER bucket next to it. Its ridiculous.

I don’t think an air conditioner could’ve come at a better time. This summer has been a HOT one, and this has saved me quite a bit. It’s a pretty powerful unit, so at full blast it’s a bit too loud. But I’m also looking for things to complain about at that point. I would rather it be a little loud and cool me down. The touch buttons are nice, but I hate that they feel like they will wear away with use (not specific to this product, just this style of button). The window slot works great and fits in old windows and new. It’s relatively stylish and at first glance isn’t obviously an AC unit, which is really nice as well! Overall, two less-sweaty thumbs up!

This unit came well packed and the unit looks really premium. It was easy to setup and comes with a window sealing kit. To use the air conditioning feature I would recommend using the exhaust pipe and window exhaust kit as it would force the hot air and make the room cooler. I used this in my gym and my basement gym has a window allowing me to use the window exhaust and sealing kit. The window kit was easy to install and only took 15 mins to setup. The unit is versatile as it has multiple modes to run however in my usage only the dehumidifier and air conditioning mode are the ones required. The unit doesn’t drain like a regular sir condition however it gathers water in a tank inside and can be drained with the included pipe which doesn’t need to be done too often but it would also depend on the usage. I have been using the unit almost daily for an hour during the last couple of months and I haven’t drained the unit as of now. The unit displays a empty bin light when the water is full. The provided remote also adds to the conveince and is easy to use. The fins on the unit are adjustable manually and I would wished if they could be adjusted using remote. The unit is slightly loud however if you intend to use in a gym or garage and don’t mind the noise then you should be OK. The wheels on the unit make it easy to glide however it may only be needed during transport from one location to the other. Once it is setup with the window kit you cannot move the unit without removing the kit. I am able to cool a 14′ x 22′ room easily but it takes some time. Hotter garages may take sometime to cool. Overall great unit for the price and versatility.

Once I got it together, it cooled beautifully. The window nozzle was very difficult to attach to the hose. You have to have this exactly where you want it before doing so, as the barely flexible hose is unforgiving. I also wish the tiny water tank was larger…however, it cools quickly if a bit loudly . I like the portable aspect, being able to relocate it if needed.

And I just noticed I could have returned it 3 weeks ago since that would have been my year warranty end. So glad I bought this! I went from sweating in places nobody should ever sweat into needing to grab a blanket and wrap up like a burrito. Heat investment if you live in an older house with no central air. The remote control that comes with it makes it ideal for those who have chronic pain and getting up to turn it down or anything else makes the pain ten times worse. The noise level isn¡®t bad at all it is just like a fanââ?the perfect white noise to go to sleep to. It was super easy to install, however I do recommend that the company also start using oval shaped vent tubes just in case you need to fit it in between something. I haven¡®t seen any water leaking from it so that is a great thing, actually that is a huge plus. The Ac quality is AMAZING and last but not least the functionality of the entire thing is GREAT! The buttons are easy to read and see. Definitely a 10/10 highly recommend product. Will get these for my entire house when I own one it only uses $70 of electricity per year.

In my 600sq foot studio apartment, the air conditioner can get the space to about 72 degrees Fahrenheit, but nothing cooler than that. Although this is fine for me, the advertisement of cooling a space to low 60s, is not quite accurate.

This unit came in handy when our ac went out.Setup was fairly simple.We set it up next to the window in the bedroom which was the best spot for us.The the adjustable panel fit right in and we did some insulating and secured the window and used some tape to seal it off.The unit was medium quiet and bearable. Mostly loudest when the condenser was running.It cooled our medium sized bedroom fairly quickly bringing temps down from about 80 to 72 in about 20 minutes.The instructions were simple and easy to follow.The button layout on the unit is easy to use and responsive.The remote functioned as intended and was a bonus to have.We set the drain up into a large 5 gallon water jug and it worked great and was easy to dump..The unit is medium heavy but comes with wheel s for easy moving which worked well.Storage was simple and we have tucked away in the garage for next time we have a emergency.All in all a ok value for the money.

I ordered this portable A/C unit to provide supplemental cooling for a bedroom and is working well for that purpose. Since it is a portable unit, I also ordered it with the intention of using it as a bedroom backup A/C unit in the even that our central A/C stopped working. However, the fact that I had to apply weather stripping and weather proofing tape to the window kit to seal it up properly makes it a difficult task to relocate the A/C unit, so not really portable at this point. I will need to get a second window kit if I want to move it to another temporary location. The instructions don’t quite match the unit (e.g. there is mention of a drain cover to remove that does not exist on this unit), but it was still easy enough to install, and operation is not difficult. Once the vent end is connected to the window plate it does become disconnected too easily if bumped, but there is a screw included that will secure the vent end to the window plate which fixes this issue. For noise level, it’s about the same as a regular window unit (not the quieter inverter type). Compared to a regular window unit, there are a couple of things about this portable unit I do not like. First is that the unit will collect water that you have to drain out once it reaches full capacity (50 pints). There is a drain hose that I have attached and is plugged on the end. I haven’t had to drain it yet but think it’s going to be a hassle since the drain plug is at the bottom on one side of the unit. With the drain at the bottom, the unit really needs to be raised on a pedestal to make the drain process easier. The other issue is that this portable unit takes up precious floor space in the room versus a window unit that would not. Overall, even with the issues mentioned, I still find this A/C to be a capable unit for our needs.

I am absolutely thrilled with this Portable Air Conditioner! Because I live in Tucson, AZ, a strong AC that works well is vital, and the 8,000 BTU unit exceeded what I thought. It consistently cools my bedroom of about 250sqft down to a comfortable temperature in a quick manner, as this happens even when it’s scorching outside. Great cooling ability with dehumidifier and fan modes help during humid monsoon days. Operating can be incredibly easy due to the smart remote control along with the clear LED display. For pre cooling before I get home, the 24-hour timer works fine. It truly is ideal in rooms up to 350 sq. ft. It has differed greatly this summer. I recommend it highly for anyone battling the heat!

ok so I bought this portable air conditioner to help cool down one of the bedrooms in my house, and so far, it is been working pretty well. Setup was OK. It came with everything I needed to hook it up to the window, and the instructions were easy to follow. I got it up and running in under 30 minutes. One thing I liked right away is that it is not too heavy. I was able to move it around by myself without much trouble, and the wheels make it easy to roll from room to room if needed. As for cooling, it does a good job in a room that is already somewhat cool or shaded. In my case, the bedroom is about average size, and it brings the temperature down quickly and keeps it comfortable. But Ie also tried using it in a larger space when the whole house was really hot, and I could tell it had to work a lot harder. It still helped, but it wasn¡®t instant, it took longer to cool the room, and it was most effective when I closed the doors and blocked out sunlight. So I say it is best for smaller rooms or for giving your main AC a boost. The noise level is decent. You can hear it running, but it is not too loud or annoying. It is more like a steady fan sound, and Ie been able to sleep with it on without a problem. The remote is handy, and the buttons on the unit are simple to use. I also like the built-in timer so I can set it to shut off after I fall asleep. Another thing worth mentioning is the dehumidifier function. On humid days, it really helps take the moisture out of the air, which makes a big difference in how comfortable the room feels. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. It is not going to cool down your whole house, but if you use it in the right room and manage your expectations, it works well. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a portable option to keep one room cool without breaking the bank.

3 Stars Well, this was very disappointing. I’ve owned a portable AC before and it was so much better than this one and cost quite a bit less. This needs a LOT of tweaking to be worth the 200$ they are charging for it. First there’s the horrible directions. Then there are the ‘Mysterious’ screw and nut that doesn’t fit in anything and we are not told in the directions what they are for. Then there is the horrible ‘Venting’ system. The item for putting in your window to put the vent in has no instructions and does not fit in the window to close up gaps. So hot air from the vent flows back into your room. The connector vent does NOT fit into the window section and falls out constantly. There is nothing that comes with the unit to attach the vent to the window attachments yet there are holes in both of these things that looks like it should have screws. The connector that goes on the vent hose doesn’t fit properly and hot air also flows out of that into your room. This comes with a drain hose BUT there is no information in the directions about where the drain is NOR is it marked on the unit. SO, you end up having to duct tape the window section and the vent and the hose just to keep hot air from flowing back into your room. So now you Do NOT have a portable AC. To add to the problems it doesn’t cool very well. I had the door to our bedroom closed and had this set on 64. It never got below 72 in the room. Our bedroom is NOT that bid. It should have been freezing in the room but NOPE. There is no temp reading on the unit. Just the setting that says what you but set it too. But nothing that reads the temp IN the room. There is NO automatic to this unit At ALL. It continuously runs. So no matter what temp you set it to, if it actually hits that temperature, the fan still keeps running NON STOP. Not Worth 200$

That was the whole point of me buying this AC. Doesn’t get as cold as other ACs. I will definitely be returning it. Don’t buy it, it’s better ACs on the market.

Window A/C units tend to be a pain for a few reasons. Lifting it up and getting it in the window takes a bit of strength and balance. It can be dangerous if you’re not careful. The extra weight can put some unneeded stress on the window frame. It takes a beating from the sun and rain and causes premature rusting and discoloring of the plastic parts. It also makes the A/C unit less efficient when the hot sun is beating on it. If you want to move it to another room or window it becomes very labor intensive. This product eliminates all these problems. No more lifting a heavy A/C unit into the window. Just roll it over to the window of your choice. It comes with the hose and window installation kit for sliding or double hung windows. It’s a much simpler process, overall. Need to change the settings or turn it off? No problem. It comes with a remote control you can operate from the comfort of your bed. Have a damp basement or garage in your house? No problem. Just wheel it into your room and turn it into a dehumidifier. It has a large 50 pint reservoir to collect all the damp air. If you just need a little air movement in a room, it can also function as a fan. Overall, this is a great A/C unit with the added benefit of a dehumidifier and a fan. Add the benefit of a much simpler installation and you’ll wonder why you ever wanted the older style A/C unit. Highly recommended. My rating method: 1 star – terrible. I wouldn’t consider buying it. 2 stars – marginal at best. Doesn’t meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk. 3 stars – average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I’d probably buy it. 4 stars – better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I’d buy it. 5 stars – exceptional – far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.

Similar units produce produces 60% fewer BTUs and cost 13% more. This Home Store portable air conditioner has an oscillating blower option and various fan speeds. It is relatively quiet. The refrigerant is R-32 which is relatively flammable (an A2L rating), but that should not be an issue as long as you don’t have a refrigerant leak. This type of refrigerant is fairly common and much less flammable than R-290 or R-600A refrigerants which are highly flammable (A3 rating). The shift towards these refrigerants has been driven by their lower “global warming” potential and ozone depletion potential compared to older safer refrigerants like R-410A. The instructions could be better. There is a receptacle on the back of the unit, but there is no explanation in the instruction booklet identifying this outlet or describing its purpose. Reference is also made to a “drainage cover” that must be unscrewed. No “drainage cover” is identified in the instruction manual. There is also a water plug (rubber stopper) that is identified, but the relation of the “drainage cover” and the “rubber stopper” is not explained, although the “rubber stopper” is shown in one of the manual’s figures. The exhaust pipe is extremely “stiff” and difficult to keep attached to the air conditioner and the window sealing plate (used for export of hot air from the rear of the air conditioning unit). If the air conditioner is moved slightly, this exhaust pipe will decouple from either the back of the air conditioner, the window sealing plate, or both. My solution was to use aluminum duct sealing tape to permanently attache the pipe at both ends, but that effectively makes the air conditioner a permanent attachment to the window unless the window sealing plate is removed from the window along with the pipe and air conditioner. Form a performance standpoint, I would rate this unit with 5 stars, but from a set-up standpoint, considering the instruction manual’s lack of description of some items, I will downgrade this product to only 4 stars.

It works well, blowing cold hair. Took off star because its not quiet and no automatic cut off. When set temp is reached unit’s fan stays on, keeping the noise level up and it continuously running. Sleep mode button does not seem to do anything. We were able to connect pvc pipe to the drain for continuous draining.

The unit works great. But the hose sucks. Keeps coming off the two end pieces and I had to duct tape them to stay attached. Also the hose it self gives off a lot of heat so you going to want to order an insulation cover or wrap with a towel. The hose issues is the reason for 4 stars not 5. The unit itself works great!

Hose was bigger than I expected by about half an inch and when used with a coupler and another hose which was supposed to be of this size also I had to cut the coupler and use c clamps to hold it together afterwards. I don’t know if the issue was with this or the coupler but my other hose fit this perfectly. Make sure your measurements are accurate for whether or not this hose will work for you as for me it wasn’t what I wanted exactly but I made it work anyway.

I got this to use for an exhaust hose from a bathroom-style fan to an outlet fitting for the soffit. It carries resin fumes from my printer straight outside which keeps my house from taking on that smell. This was perfect for my application and fit perfectly as well.

We have several portable AC units in our house and most of them are 10+ years old so the original exhaust hoses have deteriorated over time and are now cracked or torn and are no longer usable. We got this exhaust hose to use as a replacement and it works fine and is the same size as the hose that came with our portable AC units. Quality seems to be about the same as the original hose and there seems to be no difference in performance. Overall I am happy with the exhaust hose and would recommend as a cheaper alternative to an original hose from the AC manufacturer. Please note that this particular hose attaches to the mounting collar in anti-clockwise direction so make sure you mounting collar is compatible and attaches the same way.

I got this extension hose section to use this summer when I reinstall my portable airconditioner units around my rented home. Our home does not have in-home air conditioning so we have portable units in every room that we use for about 8 weeks out of the summer when it gets hot in the PNW. This allows me to connect to another hose with a fitting an I can have a longer space to run the outlet to the windows that are higher. In our basement we have windows near the ceiling so this allows me to have the extra length I need to reach that tall window without having to pick up units and place them on top of dressers or chests of drawers. Much safer. It is a good quality. It will be perfect for my needs.

I needed an exhaust hose for my 4 in 1 portable HVAC unit. The hose is thick like the original equipment. It fits my Danby nicely. If I need it, I’ll get another.

Good pipe, though must note it is much shorter vs the stock pipe. Maybe by half. The corrugations are smaller which is nicer for air flow. My old pipe cracked and has been taped numerously and this was a easy replacement. If you don’t need this to go very far out the window I would say this is a great replacement If length matters you may consider getting a coupler or a longer hose.

I love this ,well built ,had it assembled through window in no time ,has 360 * wheel movement ,had drain hose but never produces any water?Has a swinging door where air comes out so you get cool air all over room.Highly recommend plus price was so reasonable!

Unit ran most of the day in a motorhome, starting in early morning when internal RV temp was in 70s. By afternoon, the RV was really hot. If you sat in front of the AC unit, it blew cold air on you, but once you stood up and took one step away, you’re blasted with hot temps. On day 2, we turned it off in the afternoon and the internal RV temp reading on the unit said 94°, even though we had AC set at 68° for more than 6 hours. It’s performance is just lacking some gusto and couldn’t keep up with an RV. We may edit our review once we try and use inside of a room, if it’s any better. Instead of 1 star, I did give an extra star just because it feels good if you are sitting directly in front of it . That’s the only positive I have on this

This one is very loud. It constantly runs all the time unlike the one we have in another room. I have a fairly large bedroom, but this doesn¡®t seem to cool it as much as the one we moved to my kids room. All in all for the price and purpose I would pay a little more for less noise and more cool. This could work for an area that you don¡®t use often but just need to keep cool
